From my point of view, The Ecobricks are a type of initiative that sensitizes the population with respect to rethinking the use they give to their garbage. Plastic bottles filled with waste can seem like a solution for building houses. However, they do not solve the root problem, but rather, they act as a placebo that keeps us trapped in the old game of producing more and more plastic.

Eco-bricks can incentivize the production of more plastics and may become a problem in the future. More sustainable solutions

Instead, Why dont we look for more sustainable solutions? Like trying to guide avoid plastic production from the source? Or why dont we incentivice companies to improve the design of their products, and decrease the amount of packaging? I consider that the energy inverted in constructing ecobricks could be better used to take action and boost companies to improve the design of their products. Send letters, emails, get involved in public campaigns in your community. Let your authorities and the CEOs of the companies that produce plastic know that you care about your planet and that there are many of us who believe that a world without waste is possible. Help me to demonstrate to our authorities that we are not only an urban tribe that does not generate garbage, show them that a world without garbage is not only possible, but is the only way to live in greater harmony with Nature. I invite you to guide these efforts to make Eco-bricks to find solutions that go directly to the root of the problem: single-use plastic.
